New motor vehicle act 2019 penalties

Motor Vehicles Act-2019 has been in force across the country from September 1. Heavy fines are being imposed for the underlying traffic violations. According to the new rules, talking to mobiles while driving, making traffic jumps and driving in Rongside has been put in the dangerous driving category and has to be fined heavily. Earlier, there was a fine of Rs.1000 on driving without a license, which has now been increased to Rs5000. The majority, however, are opposed to it. According to the new bill, you will now have to pay a fine of Rs 1000 for not wearing a helmet. Which was earlier 100 rupees. If the traffic rules are broken by the teenagers then the guardian and the owner of the vehicle will be responsible. The juvenile will be prosecuted under the Juvenile Justice Act.

The penalty for drunk driving has been increased from 2 thousand to 10 thousand. The penalties for driving dangerously have been increased from 1 thousand to 5 thousand. A driver without a license will be fined Rs 5,000. Wearing a seat belt will result in a fine of 1 thousand instead of 100. So, while talking on the phone while driving, there will be a fine of Rs 5,000.
